  1. Wow…I can very well imagine it must have been an overwhelming experience really. To actually be there where some of your most memorable characters and moments had been to. Loved the way you presented the actual film shots and your own. And it was relaxing to see them stay just the same ! I saw the film after 1st year I guess…and with time it has come to be a defining film for our age group I think. The city bred middle class lesser mortals at the start of their careers. The higher you rise the lower you fall!!

    1. Thanks Sohail, surprisingly there were also four individuals in my journey which includes the driver… I can now relate each of the movie character with us. In reality the movie and of course the main novel in itself was based on the typical middle class from the city which I guess we all are… Please do come in my next journey…

  2. wow…This is just awesome comparison. Planned for Betla-Netarhat from 29th Sep’17 to 2nd Oct’17. Hope it’s safe now a days…. 30th Morning Reaching at Ranchi….same day proceed to Netarhat by a rented car…not able to book Prabhat Vihar….( suggestion required regarding staying here)….1st Oct morning proceed to Betla…booked Van Vihar & 2nd Evening my train is there from Ranchi. My parents ( 80 & 71) are also with me…..please suggest what will be best options for these 3days?

  3. Interesting article, very well written, specially the photo analogy from movie and current image is awesome. Looking at those pictures and analogy, it seems like the time stopped “samay ruk gaya ho shayad”

  4. Very well described. I watched this movie few days back but read it fully today, partially during that day. Amazing place in kechaki,,I had spent few hours there but that time I was not aware about shooting of film.
