  2. Actually I also have planned to go to Gorumara in this September. Tell me 2 things.
1)Can I get cars from Lataguri to Phuntsholing?
    2) Can this trip be managed in one day ? How much I get the mountains as I am a professional photographer and a naure lover too.

Please explain as it is quite important for me in coming months.

    1. Yes you will get cars from Lataguri to Phntshilong and you can do this in one day. You will see very little mountains as the major portion of the mountains are further up from Phntshilong

      1. Thanks of the information. Can you tell me how much time it will take for this journey? And which places we can cover without visa?

        1. 1) There is no Visa
          2) You only need a permit
          3) Permit is only required if going beyond Phontshillong
          4) 4 + hours each way
          5) There is a Buddhist Pagoda that is only the tourist attraction that you can visit.

  3. Interesting blog, and as you mentioned that foreigners (non-Indians I assume) may need to keep their passport ready, have you observed any foreigners in Phuntsholing? the information on this topic is very conflicting, some sources saying that only Indian citizen can cross into Phuntsholing…

  4. This winter (21st Dec) I am going to Dooars. But we will first visit Manas in Assam then we will do Dooars. Your blog gave me an idea about those places which I’ll visit. So much excitement.
