  1. Your efforts to list down all of them are commendable. I really wouldn’t have imagined even in my dream that there would be 14 just in a city!

I just feel sorry that some are being used as a garbage dump. They were once an important aspect of lives of the rulers.

    1. Thanks Alok, some are grabage dump while some are being absolutely neglected so much so that the house next door does not even know what it actually is and thinks it to be a municipal grabage section…

  2. This is an incredible job you’ve done. Congrats. The pictures are amazing as well. The second one of “Tughlaqabad Fort – Ruins” resembles to Stonhenge. 🙂

    1. Thanks,

Tughlaqabad Fort has its own unique charm. A dream of an emperor never realised but his grand plan can be seen once you are atop the fort. He has real grand vision… Unfortunately he failed to look into the reality.

  3. What an incredible post, Subhadip! Only you could have done this. The baoli I liked is Rajon ki Baoli. Here in Jaipur also we have many baolis. They are known as Baoris in this region. I have found most of them but never actually created a post on this subject. Your post is inspiring me to complete this pending “job”.

  4. Brilliant effort and and extensive research done! This is solid work just like the subject you have chosen. Keep exploring!

  5. Seriously, your effort is commendable. Hats-off to your research and every descriptions.
