  1. Subhadip, I am sure if Toru Dutta’s soul could see your blogpost , she would been overwhelmed by the amount of research work you have done on her and her works. Good job done and keep more such posts coming !

  2. Thanks Subhadip. I am somewhere down in the Dutt family tree (great-great-grandson of Omesh Dutt). Hadn’t really seen the tree before so this was very helpful! Thank you for the wonderful research, gives me a glimpse into the Rambagan history.

  3. Mr. Mukherjee, Thank you for this page. Could you tell me if anybody interested in maintaining Dutt’s house as part of the literary tradition? She is an important figure in 19th century literature, Indian, British and French. I am working on my PhD and one of the women writers am working on is Toru Dutt. I would like a photo of their Baugmaree house–do you know if that is possible?

  4. Very well-researched and interesting article. Got to know a lot about about this great lady. Keep up the fantastic work that you are doing.

  5. Beautifully written and great to find these little gems. As a recipient of the Rambagan genes she is certainly an inspiration to me and I’m sure generations to come.
