  1. the alluring sand dunes against the azure sky…spectacular..lovely longewal..and not to mention the lip smacking thali…missing that pic:-)

    1. Unfortunately I was stupid enough not to click the photos of the Thali… This trip was done in 2012 and never knew that one day I will become a blogger and would really miss those lip smacking thalis… 🙂

    1. There are no options to stay back as its a military / BSF zone. But I guess if you know someone in the Army / BSF permission can be managed. For me it was a day trip, I just wished that I had the necessary permit to got to the main international border…

    1. Initially bit scared with all those watchtowers and tanks but the moment when the BSF personnel offered me a glass of cold water everything went fine. Seeing the damaged tanks and vehicles scattered around was like travelling in a time machine…

  2. Nice coverage! After knowing about Longewala, courtesy the movie “Border”, your post took me back in time. I was in school when the movie was released and I remember having bombarded my dad with questions about the war!
