  1. When I first received the notification in my email I thought how you’d made such a glaring typo of Daud Khan Fort instead of Daulatabad Fort in Aurangabad (which I am more familiar with in Maharashtra and which has been recently renamed as Chhatrapati Shambhaji Nagar). It was only later that I read Bihar after Aurangabad and realised my folly!

Sad to see the dilapidated structure of the fort and wish it were kept clean at least by the locals if not taken care of otherwise by the ASI or Bihar State Archaeological Department. Would love to visit this place if I am around in the area someday in the future.

Thank you so much for sharing your pictures and information.

  2. You have written a very good article. Dawood Khan Panni was our Sardar.
Many historical buildings were built by him, and he was the last Nawab of Kurnool where his heirs are still present.
We are also Panni Pashtuns and we have 12 villages around Jaipur, Rajasthan which are our estate. Dawood Khan Panni also spent his childhood in Amarsar Jaipur Rajasthan.
