A nearly 250-year-old luxurious palatial mansion that was once crumbling down and was about to be demolished got transformed into this beautiful heritage hotel. Just 30 kilometers on the outskirts of #Kolkata #RajbariBawali is a perfect weekend destination.
Rasmancha Temple which forms a part of the main festivity during the Rash festival. Idols of Radha and Krishna are brought here during the annual celebrations.
Few Indian Bengali merchants decided to have their very own #European #Castles here in a small village of #Dhanyakuria away from the glitz and glamour of Calcutta. It completely transformed this settlement and its architectural landscape.
Loved the #BlueTea from Tea Trunk. I am always a fan of #GreenTea and this is just too perfect.

Have you heard of Fort Budge Budge? Have you heard of Fort Makwa Tana? If you haven't then don't feel bad neither did I a few days back. I was researching some documents when I came across these two names. We are well aware of #FortWilliam in Kolkata but these two forts were part of the history when Calcutta for a short time had become Alinagar.

Slight drizzle and a bike ride on an empty road around Rajarhat... #PureBliss with blue sky and white cotton clouds. Missing the travel adventures so this compensated for the time being.

The #SlowTrain travel experience in #Myanmar is something not for the one seeking luxury. As the name suggests its really slow, extremely noisy, and shakes like a roller coaster. But traveling in a private Upper Class - Cabins from #Bagan to #Yangon is something you must experience in order to truly call yourself a backpacker.
