Reversing Wardrobe Malfunction
I had finally decided to completely change my wardrobe this summer. Somehow I was not linking the ready-made shirts and pants that were stacked in my wardrobe all these years. Hearing the word shopping my wife also could not resist herself from joining me. We decided to try out South City Mall since honestly speaking I had never shopped here even though it’s quite near to my house. Somehow I never felt comfortable in big malls as I often felt that the basic human interaction of the store employees was restricted to a Standard Operating Procedure and often fail to understand the fashion choice of an individual.
So finally I reach the mall and then I reach my first road block, where to buy and what to buy? There were some multi-brand store and some single-brand showrooms. I generally avoid the multi-brand showrooms so I decided to check out the single-brand showrooms.
The first shop that I visit was not to my expectation, it was that of a renowned brand but there was actually no one to attend to me. There was someone at one corner but I guess he was busy with his cell phone and just somehow managed to point me towards the size that I was looking for. Not convinced I left and headed to the next one.
The next store had a completely different story, instead of asking what I actually wanted the sales person constantly pushed products which were in a higher range. Sometimes even giving the most obscure excuse for me to opt for something which I did not like at all.
I tried my luck on the third shop and it was nothing better, they had the fashion range but not the size that I actually wanted. The sales girl suggested that they would alter them for free but again I was not at all convinced at all and decide to check the next shop. I had decided that it would be the last one and if I did not find what I was looking for then would completely drop my plans.
The next shop was that of Turtle, I have had never earlier used any of their products so was initially bit hesitant but finally did check it out. The shop was rather very well decorated and all the merchandise displayed properly and segregated into separate sections. Unlike the other single brand store that I had visited that evening this was something which I liked in terms of décor and merchandise.
As soon I entered the store I was greeted by the store representative and after enquiring about my preference for the evening I was guided first to the formal section. Luckily for me, the store had a new Spring Summer collection and these were to my exact taste. The color option and combinations were what I usually prefer to wear at the office. The trousers were equally fine and matched up perfectly with the formal shirts.
After picking up a few of these I was definitely tempted to check the causal sections also. I usually don’t prefer casual shirts and casual chinos but my wife asked me to check them out instead of the denim and the t-shirts that I usually wear on weekends.
I had set my eyes on the combination that was put up on the mannequin and after a quick trial decided to pick a couple of them. Finally, my wardrobe was metamorphosing from a dead and dull collection to a really cool, fashionable yet a sober one.
All these shopping was surprisingly was quite light on my pocket too and after walking out with a dozen of collections I still felt hat I could have picked a couple more. Maybe will come back next month for few more of them. Even if I don’t manage to come to the store I can always buy products from their website www.turtleonline.in, since I am an avid online shopper so will surely check them out.
Since I always carry my camera along with me I could manage to click some candid photos at the store. Usually, no store allows photography but the store representative was courteous enough to allow me to photograph the store.
Looks like a brand with good choice.
Thanks Indrani, really feels nice wearing them… 🙂
