Father Daughter Trip to Mount Vesuvius

Father Daughter Mount Vesuvius (26)

This is a continuation of the Herculaneum trip that I undertook along with my seven-year-old daughter this summer. I knew my daughter would surely be hungry after walking around so much so we sat at a quiet place and opened our goodie bag which had various Pizzas that I had stocked up at Rome. I usually do not like Pizzas but after tasting the real Pizza in Italy you will honestly fall in love with them.

With our train back to Rome in the evening we had some time to kill and as we were coming out of the Herculaneum main gate a driver approached us with an offer of a round trip to Mount Vesuvius. I am not a trek lover thus immediately rejected the idea but my daughter for a change urged me to take this opportunity to visit the dormant volcano. I was surprised to know that she had read up about Mt. Vesuvius before coming to this trip and was very much interested in taking up the short trip.

Father Daughter Trip to Herculaneum

Father Daughter Trip to Herculaneum (47)

It was my first trip to Europe along with my family comprising of my wife and our seven-year-old daughter. I have traveled solo several times but traveling with family has its own set of challenges. Staying overnight at a hostel was not possible neither was skipping meal ever into the picture. Most of the trip had to be pre planned to the last detail and if possible have a backup plan.

For the most part of the trip, we planned to travel together except for three days in between where my wife had to attend an important meeting and I was left to take care of my daughter and on top of that also take her around. I was brave enough to plan a trip to Napoli and Pompeii/ Herculaneum all the way from Rome along with my daughter. This would be our first father daughter trip that too in a foreign land.

Vatican Museum – Guide to See Everything

Vatican Museum Travel Guide (83)

My only regret would be that wish I had written this blog before my visit to Vatican Museum. There is a lot to see at Vatican Museum but most of the information’s are scattered so what I have basically done is to consolidate all the information from the various official information site and combined them with my own personal experience in visiting this place. I missed clicking some important photographs since I did not have the right set of information with my on some saving grace I do have them on action camera video which I can always refer to.

A country within a country that is what people refer to Vatican as. Nestled right in the middle of Rome the capital city of Italy this micronation is the mecca of Roman Catholics. This is the country where the Pope is the head of the state and also the head of the Roman Catholic order. A trip to Rome would be honestly incomplete without an itinerary that does not include Vatican. Being a micronation has its advantages since this place is tiny you can easily cover all the important tourist attraction in a day. But to do this you must start early as this place can really get crowded, even during off season the queue can be a mile long thus the key to complete this would be to start as early as possible.

Half a Day Tour of Pisa

Half a Day Tour of Pisa

A day trip to Pisa is one the most popular tourist itinerary that people take while touring Italy. Pisa falls in the Tuscany region of Italy which is considered as one of the most picturesque parts of Italy. Although people recognise this place with its iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa but this place has quite a few tourist attractions that you can visit and the best part is that all of them are located with a hundred meter radius. A trip to Italy would honestly be incomplete without a trip to Pisa and Florence. In this blog, I have listed the best touring option and also listed the various tourist sites that you must visit during your trip.

What to See At Sultanahmet Square Istanbul

What to See At Sultanahmet Square Istanbul (51)

How about visiting Turkey for free? I am serious when I say these as it’s very much possible. There are conditions attached to it but with careful planning, it’s very much possible to take a short trip to Istanbul for absolutely nothing. To come straight to the point if you fly with Turkish Airlines to any destination with a transit through Istanbul Ataturk Airport then you can avail their Touristanbul service for absolutely free. The only cost would be to get a Turkish Visa but on the brighter side, you can always apply for e-visa rather than typical visa when travelling to Turkey.
